For Heru-wer
by Lykeia
Heru-wer, sitting at the east and west, glorious light upon
the earth,
Bright eyed god, double torched, you sit upon your throne at the
centrestone
Upon the crested mount where the palm nodds to the ancient sea of its
birth
There you turn to the right, opening your gold star eye, shining light
upon the azure sky
And to the left you turn to the embrace of night, and let shine the
gentle lunar light
To rise among those heavenly embers, burning in the down of your
feathered breast
Ageless sparks revealed from dark coal plumes, the midnight ashes
beneath flaming wings.
O broad winged serpent-striker, your trebbling cry drives terror into
the dark
There the coiled children of dusk and twilight lay in submission before
your feet
Their venemous jeweled heads grasped firmly in the circle of your hands
And the ropes of their bodies twined together stand as pillar, a staff
to your power
For as the sun rots life away but its gentle light bring fruitation to
all things,
So the golden serpent is tempered by your might to take the throne of
its seat
The stone-eyed uadjet curved upon your brow to rest upon your fiery
crown.
Hail Heru-wer master of the days and nights, master of poison and good
health
Far-striking lord, far-seeing and far-weilding, winged fire of the
heavens.
Horus am I
by Melia
Horus am I
God of Sky
My right eye is bright,
The other, of reflected light.
The stars are my chest markings,
The wind, breath of my wings.
My namesake, the child of my sister.
Patron, warrior, protector
God of Sky
Horus am I
